History



Way back in time, somewhere in 2007 a bunch of people joined Second Life and started to explore. After a while they got bored and wanted to create a special place, a loving and romantic environment, and yeah, maybe a bit kinky too ;)

A group was founded and in February 2007 the first piece of land was bought. It had to be romantic and finally there was a castle build, one with many special themed (bed)rooms. We bought a lot of love making stuff back then, to fill all the rooms with. Textures where created and Java Castle was born! It became a huge success, we where crowded and lagged so much, it was time to expand :) More land was bought and a second castle was born.

In April 2007 the first big step was taken en Java Castle became Java Island, with an even larger castle! It’s huge and contains many many rooms, each with its own theme. It holds almost a quarter of the island. Java Shop was born, a romantic beach, grotto and the tree-houses where placed on the island.

Up until today Java Island is a well visited island, lots of love making toys, beds and more private area’s. From 69 to BDSM - torture - vampire - role play - yiff - we have it. Swimming and relaxing pools, a huge grotto with romantic spots, an orgie castle and a huge beach. And still all for FREE! In May 2007 Java Island got its first neighbour: Java Oriental Shops and Samurai Cold Steel. From there on more islands joined and some left or changed. What the future will hold for Java Island we don’t know but one thing is always there: LOVE.

We are dedicated to SL and to our work. Java Island will be in SL as long as we can afford it :) We will redocorate, invent new items, adjust what is wrong and keep it alive. On a regular base we check the island, we got security to make sure the island stays what it is all about: romantic - love - relaxing.
