Hi!

Welcome to the affiliate program website. Buy your box for 0 L$ on one of the Java Islands or go to XstreetSL.

You will earn 30% of every sale!

How to set up your vendor:

Vendor setup is a simple process, in just a few steps you become a reseller!

1) Simply rezz the vendor on your land uder the appropriate group that allows for scripts to run  and object creation (your land group, or the mall vendor group). This ensures that the vendor will be able to communicate with our servers and that your vendor won’t be autoreturned to your lost and found.

2) The vendor asks permission to take L$ from you.
You must say YES for the vendor to proceed. It will not automatically take money from you, this step is so that when a sale is made by the vendor, you will recive your correct commision.
Saying no will disable the vendor and it will not sell anything.

3) Rezz the vendor on the spot you want, make sure you wear a grouptag if it is groupland.

4) It will automatically connect to the seller’s sales network and download product info.  Once that’s finished, click it and choose “Go Online” from the menu.

5) You can now browse through the products using the arrow buttons on the vendor, pay it to purchase an item, or click it and choose ‘Notecard’ to get more info if there is one available (third parties merely need to click the vendor for more info, only you, the Catalogue Vendor owner, will see the menu).

Please note, the connection information, used by the vendor to talk to the seller’s server, will be lost if you ever reset all the scripts in the vendor. Taking it into inventory and re-rezzing it is fine, as is resetting it from its own menu. But do not, under any circumstances, use Second Life’s ‘Reset All Scripts in Selection’ on this vendor, or you will need to contact the seller for a new copy.

Options.  There are a number of options available by clicking the Hippo Catalogue Vendor and using the menu commands as follows:

[Go Offline] – Takes the Catalogue Vendor offline so nothing can be bought.

[Go Online] – Takes it back online and ready to sell again.

[Update] – Downloads fresh product information (the Catalogue Vendor will automatically do this itself, roughly every 24 hours).

[Reset] – Fully reset the vendor (you’ll need to grant debit permissions again).

[Help] – Gives a copy of the instruction notecard from Hippovend.

[Status] – Reports the number of products for sale, servers connected to, commission rates and other useful information.

[Options] – Offers a number of ways to customise your Catalogue Vendor, including …

[Volume] – Control whether the Catalogue Vendor whispers or speaks product information as you flip through products, or keeps silent (the default).

[Sales IMs] – Decide whether to receive an automatic IM after each sale (default) or not.

[Hovertext] – Allows you to se the hovertext colour and whether it appears above the vendor all the time (default), never, or only when the vendor is in use (‘Auto-Hide’).

[Inactivity] – Control what the Catalogue Vendor does when left inactive for two minutes — either cycle through products in a slide show, return to the first product, or nothing (default).  WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SET YOUR VENDOR TO SLIDESHOW MODE FOR MAXIMUM SALES!

6) You may wish to use the included decoration material to create a professional shop. You can use the shop walls and floor to place near the rented shop walls and floors. If there is a window in the rented shop wall, use the shop wall with the transparant backside.

Now you are ready to make sales!

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

Q: How can I use my JI Shop Catalog vendor?
A: Use it any way you like that does not make us look bad or otherwise break the rules of the agreement or SL’s TOS or Community Standards.  Rent a shop, set up a small rental space and, actively go door-to-door to sell, or just hang onto it in inventory and whip it out if somebody admires one of your JI Shop products.

Q: May I buy items from my own catalog to save 30% off the price?
A: You cannot receive a discount due to the integral coding. However, we do not discourage purchases from alternate accounts.

Q: Do I need to keep track of what I owe you and they owe me?
A: No, the catalog vendor does it all automatically.  First the money goes to you and then JI Shop portion is automatically transferred to us.

Q: Can I stand outside your shop and ask people to buy from me first?
A: No, you can set up shop but off course not in front of our own main store or other Java Island stores in SL.   Doing so will get you banned from the land and ejected from the affiliate program.
